Terry Kidwell / Rocket Air / Tahoe

I’m stoked to welcome Bud Fawcett to the list of RadShot contributors. Bud was shooting through the 1980s and 90s, documenting the explosion of the snowboarding movement in America. And what better way to open the archive than with this classic photo of Terry Kidwell a.k.a. the Father of Freestyle, from 1986, styling out an early rocket air-cum-method as only he could. Bear in mind the primitive nature of the kit back then, and the lack of park shaping – or parks for that matter! Seriously, few riders could tweak one of these out today.
