Chris Wimbles / Baker Gap / Washington, USA

The Baker Gap is one of snowboarding’s most iconic kicker spots. Since Shawn Farmer first tackled it (topless!) for the first TB movie in 1990, it has been the ultimate rite of passage for aspiring North West shreds. The landing requires a shit ton of snow to be built up early in the season, but since Mt Baker hosts the world record for snowfall that’s not a problem – whiteout sessions like this are standard. Chris Wimbles grabs a timeless banger during a Defective Films shoot back in 2007.

Camera: Canon EOS 1D Mark II
Lens: 70-200 mm
Shutter Speed: 1/1000 sec
Aperture: f7.1
