Andy Wright | Snowboard Photographer

Andy-WrightAs a skater in Salt Lake City in the eighties, Andy used to get frustrated when the snow was falling. In fact, when he first took up snowboarding it was only so he could keep sliding sideways during the winter. Moving behind the lens in the mid-nineties, he was perfectly placed to document the jibbing revolution that spread from Salt Lake to the world as Utah pros like JP Walker and Jeremy Jones came to dominate the millenium. A senior photographer for Transworld Snowboarding Magazine, he works almost exclusively with the sport’s elite riders, splitting his time between urban handrail shoots and powder missions in Alaska and beyond.
